Proud Unit

Backstory:

Born out of a high school garage in the heartland of Oklahoma, Proud Unit came together in 2012, built around the creative nucleus of lifelong friends – guitarists Jeff “Jazz” Chandler and Caleb “Cable” Peters. Both were drawn together by their shared love for music and rebellion against the conformity of their small-town life. Bassist Ricky “Red” Johnson and drummer Danny “Dynamite” Murphy later joined to complete the lineup. Over the past decade, they’ve managed to turn their passion into a full-time gig, playing at local bars, festivals, and nationwide tours. The band’s name, Proud Unit, is a nod to their collective spirit and unyielding determination to make it big while staying true to their roots.

Genre:

Proud Unit’s sound is rooted in Classic Rock, with a modern twist, blending catchy Rock ‘n’ Roll riffs with heartland Rock storytelling.

Title:

“Stand My Ground”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1 – Em, C, G, D)
Em C
Running through this town, all lost, all drowned
G D
In the shadows of the past, where dreams are bound
Em C
I’ve been knocked down, pushed around
G D
But there’s a fire in my heart, it’s a profound sound

(Chorus – G, D, Am, C)
G D
I will stand my ground, won’t be pushed around
Am C
With my head held high, under the wide open sky
G D
I am a proud unit, no fear to admit
Am C
I’ll keep fighting on, till my last song is sung

(Verse 2 – Em, C, G, D)
Em C
Life can be a winding road, a lost and found
G D
But every scar I wear is an honor, not a wound
Em C
This spirit doesn’t wane, won’t break or bow
G D
I’ll keep marching on, through the highs and the lows

(Repeat Chorus x2)
