Backstory:
Watchful Shirt, a British band formed in 2004, was the brainchild of four college roommates – Jonny Holden, Mark Edwards, Peter McLoughlin, and Abigail James. The foursome, who were studying music technology at the time, would jam in their shared flat, honing a unique sound that would later form the backbone of Watchful Shirt. The name Watchful Shirt sprouted from the band’s half-serious superstition about a particular shirt of Jonny’s (which he wore at every successful gig they had early in their career). As their music matured, the band’s popularity began to surge on the local scene, paving the way for their breakout on the national stage in 2007.

The band’s favorite fan is a woman named Lily Hunter. Lily has faithfully attended every one of their concerts since their breakthrough, and has a tattoo of their band logo on her wrist.
