Backstory:

Sandy Beauty was born out of the vibrant music scene of 1990’s Southern California. Originally a trio of surf-loving college friends – Jake ‘Jax’ Harrison, Lila ‘Scorpio’ Scott and Tom ‘Tidal’ Thompson – they spent their early years writing songs and playing gigs at local beach bars and surf competitions. Their natural affinity for harmonious melodies and lyrical stories quickly drew attention and they soon found themselves signing a record deal with indie label, Wave Rider Records.

Their music can best be described as a mixture of the sun-soaked optimism of the Beach Boys, the melodious rock of Fleetwood Mac, with a dash of the introspectiveness of the Eagles. With Jax’s soaring vocals, Lila’s heart-thumping bass lines and Tidal’s intricate guitar work, Sandy Beauty’s unique blend of Surf Rock and Folk Pop resonated with audiences from all walks of life.
