Backstory:
Rowdy Order, a group of childhood friends, was formed in the small town of Jackson, Mississippi. The band members include lead vocalist and guitarist Jake Blake, bassist Johnny Grace, keyboardist Billy ‘the keys’ Myers, and drummer Mitch ‘the stick’ Davis. Tracing their origins back to their high school days, they started playing together in Grace’s garage, making music to escape the monotony of their small town lives. Their shared passion for music and unparalleled camaraderie propelled them into the local music scene, quickly gaining a loyal fanbase who appreciated their raw and heart-felt performances. They decided to call themselves Rowdy Order, a name that encapsulates their playful spirit and the inherent chaos of their music-making process.

Title:
“Wild Wind”
Lyrics:
Verse 1 [Am – G – F – C]
There’s a wild wind whippin’, down the lonely road [Am – G]
A heartache rippin’, carrying a heavy load [F – C]
I’ve got my old guitar, and these boots of mine [Am – G]
And the melody, of a love left behind [F – C]
Chorus [Dm – E – Am – Em]
Wild wind, carry me home [Dm – E]
To a place where I can belong [Am – Em]
Wild wind, play me a song [Dm – E]
One that can heal, what’s torn and gone [Am – Em]
Verse 2 [Am – G – F – C]
The moon’s a lantern, in the dark southern night [Am – G]
Lost and yearning, for her sweet smile’s light [F – C]
But the wild wind, carries my blues away [Am – G]
In its swirling dance, I find my way [F – C]
(Repeat Chorus)
Bridge [F – G – C – Am]
Under the starry quilt, I make my bed [F – G]
With the wild wind’s song, echoing in my head [C – Am]
(Repeat Chorus)
Fan Testimonial:
Rowdy Order’s biggest fan is undoubtedly Sarah ‘Boots’ Johnson. The band holds a special place in her heart, as she was with them right from their garage jams. What she admires most about the band is their authenticity and the kinship they share both on and offstage. Sarah says, “Rowdy Order is more than a band to me. Their music resonates with a spirit of freedom and speaks directly to my soul. It has been an incredible journey witnessing their growth from a garage band in our little town to a name that’s recognized all over the South and beyond. Each song they compose is unique, emotional, and genuine, just like them. They’ll always be my favorite.”
