Backstory:
Formed in 2015, Remarkable Female is an all-female band hailing from the eclectic city of Austin, Texas. The band was formed by lead vocalist Jane “JJ” Johnson and drummer Amelia “Amy” Hart, who met while studying music at the University of Texas. They quickly bonded over their shared love of music and their frustration over the lack of representation of women in the music industry. They began writing songs together, and Remarkable Female was born. The band slowly expanded, adding bassist Lily Sanchez and guitarist Rachel Gibson to their lineup. Their music has become a platform for them to voice their thoughts, ideas, and experiences as women, making them a popular choice among various age groups.
