Backstory:
Careless Golf was conceived in the sun-soaked city of San Diego, California, by four college friends – Jake Larsen, Mike Harper, Ted Williams, and Kole Marshall. The quartet were studying at the San Diego State University when they would play their first impromptu gig at the college’s Spring festival, and that’s where their journey started. Despite their studies, they found common ground in their love for music, the green of the golf course, and their shared penchant for careless fun. Inspired by their laid-back, adventurous spirit, they decided to name their band ‘Careless Golf,’ signifying their carefree attitude and love of the game.

Title:
“Last Round at Sundown”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
C G
Under the old tree, we sat down,
Am F
Played our tunes as the sun went down.
C G
Glasses clinking, laughter all around,
Am F
Under the stars, in our own little town.
(Chorus)
C G
It’s the last round at sundown,
Am F
Here in our merry playground.
C G
With the moon as our crown,
Am F
We dance, we sing, till the morning comes around.
(Verse 2)
C G
From the college dorm to the city’s heart,
Am F
Our music, our bond, nothing can tear apart.
C G
With every strum, every piece of art,
Am F
We knew, we were, Careless Golf from the start.
(Chorus)
C G
It’s the last round at sundown,
Am F
Here in our merry playground.
C G
With the moon as our crown,
Am F
We dance, we sing, till the morning comes around.

Debbie’s testimonial: “Music has always been my escape, but Careless Golf isn’t just an escape for me–they’re a journey. Their music resonates with my carefree spirit, and their lyrics feel like home. They’re my favorite because they’re genuine, their music is raw and relatable. Every song feels like a new adventure, much like a good game of golf, unpredictable and exciting. They’ve created a unique sound that truly stands out in the Indie Rock scene.”
