Backstory:
Back Door originated from a small town in Ohio in 1995 when four childhood friends, Tim Johnson (vocals), Mike Robinson (guitar), Jake Matthews (bass), and Tommy Evans (drums) decided to create a band after their high school graduation. They named the band ‘Back Door’, a nod to their early days spent practicing in Mike’s garage, entering through the back door to avoid waking his parents. They started playing small gigs around town, gradually enhancing their musical skills and reputation. Their big break came in 1998 when they were discovered by a talent scout during a local battle of the bands. Despite the hardships they faced on their journey, their bond strengthened, solidifying the energy and chemistry evident in their music.
Genre:
Back Door resonates with the genre of Indie Rock, blending raw, guitar-driven elements of punk rock with the complexity and depth of indie music. Their sound is characterized by intense, passionate performances and lyrics that explore social issues, personal experiences, and the struggles of everyday life.
