Backstory:
Required Cost originated from the humble suburbs of Boston, Massachusetts. The band was formed in 2010 by four high school friends: Tom Shelby (lead vocals, guitar), Mark Oswald (keyboards, backing vocals), Jerry Drake (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Tim Murphy (drums, percussion). Inspired by their shared love for music, they began to jam together in their garages after school, gradually developing their unique sound. The band took a leap of faith and moved to Los Angeles in 2015 to follow their dreams. They spent years performing at local bars and clubs, slowly building a loyal fanbase and catching the attention of record label executives. Their big break came in 2018 when they signed a deal with Epic Records.
