Plastic Shopping

Backstory:

Born out of the mundane yet essential experience of grocery shopping, ‘Plastic Shopping’ is a band whose roots are firmly planted in the urban lifestyle. The members – Randy, Nina, and Charlie – were once just regular cashiers at a supermarket in the heart of Los Angeles, until one fateful evening when all three were scheduled to work the closing shift. They discovered they all shared a love for music and a desire to transform the monotony of their daily lives into something extraordinary. Thus, ‘Plastic Shopping’ was formed.

Their unique blend of music is a direct reflection of their lives – colorful, chaotic, and compelling. They traded their grocery scanners for guitars and drumsticks and decided to narrate their journey through their songs. With ‘Plastic Shopping’, every performance is a wild shopping spree of emotions.

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
E A E
Baggin’ up the groceries, stuck in a routine,
B7 E
Life’s a long conveyor belt of things unseen.
A E
Counting down the hours, scanning through the days,
B7 E
Stuck behind this counter, in a plastic haze.

(Chorus)
A E
Barcode Blues, we’re singing loud,
B7 E
Lost in the crowd but our spirit’s proud.
A E
Barcode Blues, in every line,
B7 E
Scanning through life, one beep at a time.

(Verse 2)
E A E
Items in a plastic bag, dreams in our heads,
B7 E
Selling canned laughter, but we’re making music instead.
A E
Living through the discounts, life’s on a sale,
B7 E
We’re ‘Plastic Shopping’, telling our tale.

(Chorus)
A E
Barcode Blues, we’re singing loud,
B7 E
Lost in the crowd but our spirit’s proud.
A E
Barcode Blues, in every line,
B7 E
Scanning through life, one beep at a time.
