Criminal Indicator

Backstory:
Criminal Indicator was formed in the grungy depths of Seattle’s underground music scene in 2004. The four members – frontperson Jackie ‘Criminal’ Krebs, guitarist Dexter ‘Indicator’ Smith, bassist Patty ‘Pulse’ Jones, and drummer Billy ‘Beat’ Thompson – were all former law students, disillusioned by the system they were studying and seeking an outlet for their pent-up frustrations. They channeled their energy into creating music that reflected their gritty worldview, initially performing in dimly-lit basements and obscure music festivals.

Their breakthrough came in 2007, when their raw, unfiltered sound managed to catch the ear of a record executive at one of their gigs, leading to a record deal that put them firmly on the map. Despite their success, Criminal Indicator has never lost touch with their roots and continues to produce music that challenges societal norms and calls out corruption.

Title:
“Courthouse Chaos”

Full song lyrics:

(Verse 1) [Am G F E]
In the stinging rain, I stand alone,
A lone soldier in the courthouse tone.
In the heart of the chaos, I make my plea,
But the judge and the jury, they don’t see me.

(Chorus) [C G Am F]
Courthouse chaos, system’s a lie,
Freedom is a bird that’s too wounded to fly.
Courthouse chaos, can’t you see?
Justice is blind, but we refuse to be.

(Verse 2) [Am G F E]
In the halls of power, truth’s a ghost,
A spectral whisper, an empty boast.
Shackled in silence, I bear my chains,
In the courthouse chaos, only injustice reigns.

(Chorus) [C G Am F]
Courthouse chaos, system’s a lie,
Freedom is a bird that’s too wounded to fly.
Courthouse chaos, can’t you see?
Justice is blind, but we refuse to be.

(Bridge) [Dm Am G F]
We won’t be silenced, we won’t be still,
We’ll shatter the silence with our will.
Courthouse chaos, hear our cry,
We won’t stop fighting till we touch the sky.

(Chorus) [C G Am F]
Courthouse chaos, system’s a lie,
Freedom is a bird that’s too wounded to fly.
Courthouse chaos, can’t you see?
Justice is blind, but we refuse to be.

Testimonial for the band:
“Criminal Indicator isn’t just a band; they’re a revolution. Their music isn’t just melodies and chords; it’s a call to action. I first heard them in a dingy basement gig and I was immediately drawn to their raw energy and passion. They have a way of speaking truth to power that resonates with me and so many others. They’re more than my favorite band, they’re the soundtrack to my personal rebellion against the status quo.”
