Confused Seat

Backstory:

Confused Seat started in early 2013, in the eclectic neighborhood of Silverlake, Los Angeles. The band was formed by a group of five friends who happened to be neighbors and would spend countless summer evenings together jamming in their garages. The members are lead vocalist Robby, bassist Liz, lead guitarist Drew, drummer Charlie, and keyboardist Sam. The eclectic mix of their individual musical influences blended into a unique sound that would eventually define Confused Seat.

Their breakthrough came when they were picked to open a local music festival, catching the attention of a small indie label. The band’s raw energy, paired with their witty and unconventional lyrics about everyday topics, gained them a large following. After releasing two successful albums and touring extensively, they remain grounded, still choosing to write and rehearse in their old neighborhood garages, tying them to their humble roots.

Title:
“Bittersweet Carousel”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
C – G – Am – F
Running through the echoes of the city night,
We found ourselves in the middle of the carnival’s light,
A bittersweet carousel, we ride,
Lost in the laughter and the neon tide.

(Chorus)
Dm – F – C – G
On this bittersweet carousel, we spin,
Caught between what might and what’s been,
Laughing at our past, fearing our tomorrow,
Dancing in the joy, drowning in the sorrow.

(Verse 2)
C – G – Am – F
In the mirrored maze, we lose our way,
Chasing shadows of yesterday.
Over cotton candy dreams, we soar,
Craving for just a little more.

(Chorus)
Dm – F – C – G
On this bittersweet carousel, we twirl,
In the whirlwind of this crazy world,
Laughing at our dreams, crying at our reality,
Lost in the ride, finding our sanity.
