Backstory:

Aware Board originated in the serene town of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, in 2012. The band members – Jake Peterson (lead vocals, guitar), Sarah Monroe (bass, backing vocals), Mike Thompson (drums), and Liam Scott (keyboard, backing vocals) – started off as high school friends who shared a common love for music. They were known as the ‘jamming quartet’ in school, entertaining school events before finally deciding to turn their passion into a profession. Their journey began from underground gigs and small-time festivals, slowly gaining recognition in the local music scene. Their unique sound and profound lyrics resonated with listeners, eventually earning them a regional following that gradually expanded throughout the Midwest.
