Backstory:
Periodic Cup was conceived in a dimly lit college chemistry lab in the heart of Boston. The founding members, bassist Lars “Copper” Anderson and guitarist Tim “Gold” Ryan were both studying for their Masters in Chemistry when they discovered they shared more than a love for the periodic table. Late-night study sessions quickly turned into impromptu jam sessions with the periodic table as their muse. They soon enlisted the percussion skills of fellow student Pete “Platinum” Morris and the sweet vocals of Sara “Silver” Bell, a literature student with a voice as radiant as her namesake element.
Their unique blend of scientific knowledge and musical talent brought a fresh flavor to the Boston music scene. What started as a fun study break soon became a local phenomenon. Periodic Cup started playing at open mic nights, college events, and small gigs around the city. Their music quickly caught the ears of music lovers who were drawn to their unique sound and intelligent lyrics.
Genre:
Periodic Cup’s genre is best described as Academic Indie Rock. Their music blends melodic indie rock sounds with the intellectual charm of academia, providing a unique and thought-provoking listening experience for fans.

“Unstable Isotope”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am G
In the heart of matter, where we reside,
F C
A pulse, a beat, in atoms we confide.
Am G
An unstable isotope, love’s fickle tide,
F C
A bond that no element can hide.
(Chorus)
C G Am F
Unstable Isotope, ignite my hope,
C G Am F
Spin me around your atomic globe,
C G Am F
We’re just elements, caught in a scope,
C G Am F
Unstable Isotope, teach me to cope.
(Verse 2)
Am G
Through the fog of electrons, we collide,
F C
Energy exchanged in quantum strides.
Am G
The nucleus of our shared lives,
F C
In your orbit, my heart thrives.
(Chorus)
C G Am F
Unstable Isotope, ignite my hope,
C G Am F
Spin me around your atomic globe,
C G Am F
We’re just elements, caught in a scope,
C G Am F
Unstable Isotope, teach me to cope.
