Backstory:

Unnatural Construction emerged from the grey and industrial backdrop of Sheffield, England in 2015. Composed of four members Jake Thomas (vocals, guitar), Alex Hartley (bass), Ian Walsh (drums), and Ellie Richards (keyboard, vocals), the band was formed when they were all working at a local construction site, finding solace in their shared love for music amidst the noise and chaos of their manual labor jobs. Long hours on the site was punctuated by impromptu jam sessions during breaks, where their unique sound was forged amidst the steel and concrete of their surroundings.

Their music became a manifestation of their environment – the rawness of their day job, the gritty cityscape, and the longing for something more. Unnatural Construction’s sound, a blend of industrial rock and post-punk revival, resonated with the local crowd, soon elevating their status from construction site laborers to one of the most intriguing emerging bands in the local scene.
