Backstory:
Impolite Copper was formed in the bustling heart of Seattle, Washington in 2017 when a group of college friends decided to channel their shared passion for music into something tangible. The core members, lead vocalist Sam “Pipes” Porter, guitarist Miles “Strings” Henderson, bassist Jason “Copper” Fox, and drummer Riley “Sticks” Harmon, all met while studying at the University of Washington. Despite their different majors, they found a common ground in their love for music and their shared admiration for the grunge era that put Seattle on the map. After numerous jamming sessions in their shared apartment, they finally decided to take things forward and formed Impolite Copper.

The band name, ‘Impolite Copper’, was inspired by an inside joke among the friends. During their early jamming days, Jason, the bassist, would often play his bass so loudly that it disturbed their neighbors. They received numerous complaints- one of them accusing Jason of being an ‘impolite copper’, misinterpreting his instrument’s name. The guys found it hilarious and decided to keep it as their band name.
