Backstory:
Luminous Appendix is an unexpected merging of musical backgrounds that first formed in the bustling music scene of Seattle, Washington, back in 2010. The band members, John “Jazz” Reynolds, a former jazz drummer, Molly “Blues” Carter, an electric guitar player with a deep love for blues, and Alex “Synth” Robinson, a classically trained pianist with a fascination for synth-pop, came together after performing at the same charity concert. They were each drawn to the others’ unique style and decided to try a jam session together. The resulting music was a unique, ear-catching blend that eventually became the signature sound of Luminous Appendix.
The band underwent several transformations over the years, experimenting with various sounds and adding new instruments to their repertoire. However, the core trio’s dynamic composition and mutual respect for one another’s music styles have remained constant, leading to a decade-long career filled with sold-out concerts and acclaimed albums.

Luminous Appendix is best described as a fusion of Jazz, Blues, and Synth-Pop, resulting in a unique genre which they cheekily refer to as “Synth-Jazz-Blues”.
