Backstory:

The eclectic group of Kind Pension was formed in 2007 during a charity event at a retirement home in Sacramento, California. The band members, Jim Walker, Steve Hartman, and Mark Grayson, were all retirees with a shared love of music and a lot of time on their hands. They soon discovered that their combined experience of jazz, rock, and country gave them a unique sound that appealed to a wide audience. They named their band Kind Pension, a nod to their retirement status, and began performing at local venues. Their youthful energy and timeless songs quickly gained attention, and they carved out a niche for themselves in the music landscape.

The band’s favorite fan is a young woman named Emily. Emily, a college student studying music, first saw Kind Pension perform at a local farmers market and was immediately drawn to their unique sound and infectious energy.
