Backstory:
Wavy Foot was first formed in the small coastal town of Montauk, New York in 2005. Initially, it was a duo comprising childhood friends, Liam Merrick on vocals and guitar and Danny Rodgers on drums. Inspired by the free-spirited surf culture and the rhythmic lull of ocean waves, they began writing and performing songs that reflected their beach lifestyle. After performing in local bars and surf festivals, they gained popularity for their unique sound, leading to their breakthrough moment when they won a local band competition. They then added a bassist, Emily Miller, and keyboard player, Jonny Chase, to complete the band’s lineup. Wavy Foot has since captured the hearts of many with their sun-soaked tunes and honest lyrics.

“Shimmering Tides”
Full Song Lyrics:
[Verse]
Em G D A
Look at the sun, kissing the sea,
Em G D A
Beneath the sky, that’s where we’ll be,
Em G D A
With the waves under our feet,
Em G D A
Feeling the rhythm, feeling the beat.
[Chorus]
Em G D A
Shimmering tides, take us away,
Em G D A
To the heart of the summer day.
Em G D A
With the sun in our eyes, and the wind in our hair,
Em G D A
Oh, Shimmering tides, take us there.
[Verse]
Em G D A
With the sand, soft and warm,
Em G D A
In our town, where we were born,
Em G D A
We dream big, under the stars,
Em G D A
In the rhythm of the sea, and the strum of guitars.
[Chorus]
Em G D A
Shimmering tides, take us away,
Em G D A
To the heart of the summer day.
Em G D A
With the sun in our eyes, and the wind in our hair,
Em G D A
Oh, Shimmering tides, take us there.
