Backstory:
“Utilized Trial” was born in the musical heartland of Austin, Texas. The band was formed in 2010 by lead vocalist and guitarist Zack Griffin, bassist Tom Rayleigh, and drummer Joe Harper. They met in college, bonding over their shared love of music and a mutual sense of feeling lost. Calling themselves the “Utilized Trial”, they saw their journey as a means of testing their abilities and talents, utilizing each person’s strengths to push their boundaries and create a unique sound that would resonate with audiences.
Their journey wasn’t easy. They went through several trials, including lineup changes, record label issues, and personal struggles. Despite these challenges, they stood firm, creating music that reflected their experiences and touched the hearts of their listeners. Their perseverance and dedication to their craft turned them from a college dorm band into a nationally recognized act, yet they still strive for the same authenticity in their music as when they first started.
