Backstory:
Overcooked Mouth was formed in Cheltenham, UK, in the damp basement of an old, creaky Victorian house. The band was a diverse ensemble consisting of four members, each hailing from a different corner of the globe, but united by their shared love for progressive music and Terry Pratchett’s novels. The band’s founder, a bespectacled man named Alfie Thompson, was a disenchanted accountant who was more interested in creating melodies than in balancing spreadsheets. He was joined by Maria Sanchez, a fiery Spanish guitarist, Marcus Lindstrom, a brooding Swedish drummer, and Takeshi Nakamura, a serene Japanese bassist. United by their shared desire to create something unique, Overcooked Mouth was born in 2012.

Overcooked Mouth dabbled in Progressive Rock, intertwining it with elements of Funk and Jazz. Their sound was a distinctive blend of intricate melodies, complex rhythms, and powerful lyrics that explored themes of existentialism, love, and technology’s impact on society.
