Backstory:
Tart Shirt was born from a chance meeting between four childhood friends at a local thrift store in Portland, Oregon back in 2009. They were all pursuing different paths in life but shared a common passion for music and offbeat fashion. After discovering an unsightly, tartan-patterned shirt that instantly became a symbol of their bond, the band Tart Shirt was born. Since then, the band has performed in numerous local bars and small venues, slowly gaining a devoted following, and have released two independent albums that reflect their unique musical style.
