Backstory:
Born in the rural outskirts of Birmingham, Alabama, Gaseous Scarecrow emerged from the ashes of an old bluegrass quartet. The band’s origin is linked to a local legend about a haunted, mysterious scarecrow that cryptically would appear to scare off intruders. The band found inspiration in this spectral figure, combining gothic undertones with their bluegrass roots to create a unique sound. The band is comprised of four members: Jack Hawthorne (lead vocals, banjo), Billy ‘Coon’ Thompson (bass, backing vocals), Lillian ‘Lil’ Bloom (fiddle, backing vocals) and Jimmy ‘Sticks’ McGraw (drums, percussion).
