Short Term

Backstory:

Short Term is a trio band that emerged from the heart of Brooklyn, New York. The members, Casey Thompson (lead vocals and guitar), Madison Lee (bass and backup vocals), and Jay Rizzo (drums), met in high school and were drawn together by the common love for powerful lyrics and impactful melodies. The name ‘Short Term’ seemed fitting for their philosophy: to live in the moment and to seize each day as if it’s the last. Their unique mix of rock and electronic music, combined with their poetic lyrics, immediately captured the hearts of many upon the release of their first album in 2016.

Despite their sudden rise to fame, they’ve remained grounded and connected with their fans, often performing in small venues for an intimate experience. Their dedication to their craft and their audience sets them apart from other bands on the scene. With three albums under their belt and an international tour in progress, Short Term is a band making waves while staying true to their roots.

Title:
“Neon Nights”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am Em Dm Am
Underneath the neon lights we found our home,
Am Em Dm Am
In the heart of the city that never sleeps alone,
F G Em Am
In the echoes of the night, we discovered our own tone,
F G Em Am
In the whispers of the wind, we’ve grown.

(Chorus)
C G Am F
Neon Nights, guiding us through,
C G Am
Echoes of the heart, pure and true,
F G Am F
Short Term love, but it feels so right,
C G Am
Underneath the neon lights.

(Verse 2)
Am Em Dm Am
Wandering through the city streets so wide,
Am Em Dm Am
Finding stories that were left behind,
F G Em Am
In the rhythm of the heartbeats, we ride,
F G Em Am
In the glow of the neon, we hide.

(Chorus)
C G Am F
Neon Nights, telling us tales,
C G Am
Of love and loss, of epic fails,
F G Am F
Short Term dreams, in the moonlight,
C G Am
Underneath the neon nights.
