Backstory:
Untidy Archbishop started their musical journey in the basement of an old church in the heart of Manchester, England. The founders, lead vocalist, and rhythm guitarist, Nathaniel “Nate” Banks, and drummer, Oliver “Ollie” Langton, were childhood friends who discovered their shared love for music while they were altar boys. The band took its name from the old, disheveled, and eccentric archbishop who used to tell them wild stories about saints and angels. His stories, though strange and outlandish, were the boys’ first experience with the power of storytelling, which later became a significant part of their songwriting.
After the addition of the talented bassist, Frances “Frankie” Walton and lead guitarist, Elliot “El” Chapman, Untidy Archbishop found their distinct sound. The band became known for their complex lyrics, rich melodies, and energetic performances. Through their music, Untidy Archbishop shares tales of life, love, and the beauty in chaos, much like the stories of their beloved archbishop.
Genre:
Untidy Archbishop identifies as an Indie Rock band with a touch of Folk storytelling.

Full song lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[G] She dances in the moonlight, [D] under the old church spire
[Em] Shadows shift around her, [C] like a choir
[G] With a stained glass heart, [D] and a soul on fire
[Em] She’s the saint of lost causes, [C] and I’m a foolish liar
(Chorus)
[G] Oh, my stained glass heart, [D] kaleidoscope of art
[Em] We’re just two lost souls, [C] trying not to fall apart
[G] In the silence of the night, [D] under the holy starlight
[Em] I promise to hold you tight, [C] until we see the morning light
(Verse 2)
[G] Her laughter echoes, [D] in the hallowed halls
[Em] She’s an untold story, [C] hidden behind stone walls
[G] With her stained glass heart, [D] she stands tall
[Em] She’s my redemption, [C] my rise and fall
