Backstory:
Nice Cash came together in the bustling city of New York in the summer of 2009. The group was an amalgamation of four struggling musicians, each from a different corner of the country: Alex Monroe, the lead vocalist from Austin, Texas; Terry ‘T-Rex’ Baxter, the drummer from Portland, Oregon; Natalie ‘Natty’ Black, the keyboardist from Miami, Florida; and Jerry ‘JJ’ Jackson, the bassist from Detroit, Michigan. The quartet met at an underground jam session and were magnetically drawn to each other’s unique musical style. Over time, they decided to unite, forming the band ‘Nice Cash’, a name inspired by their collective dream to make it big in the industry.
