Idealistic Mrs

Backstory:
Born in the bustling city of Birmingham, England, ‘Idealistic Mrs’ is the brainchild of long-time friends, Elizabeth “Beth” O’Connor and Fiona “Fi” Marshall. After spending their school years experimenting with various musical styles and playing in separate bands, they decided to merge their talents in 2012. With Beth’s beautiful, haunting voice and Fi’s extraordinary guitar skills, they quickly gained attention in the local music scene. Their shared love for the romantic poets of the 18th century inspired the band’s name, a tribute to the idealism that characterized the period.

Title:
“Barefoot in the Rain”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1 – Am G D Am)
Walking down the road,
In the city’s afterglow,
Barefoot in the rain,
Feeling every ounce of pain.

(Chorus – C G Am F)
Oh, Idealistic Mrs,
Chasing dreams and stolen kisses,
In the twilight, you remain,
Barefoot in the rain.

(Verse 2 – Am G D Am)
Eyes filled with stars,
Chasing dreams so bizarre,
Heart filled with hope,
On this slippery slope.

(Chorus – C G Am F)
Oh, Idealistic Mrs,
Chasing dreams and stolen kisses,
In the twilight, you remain,
Barefoot in the rain.

(Bridge – Dm Am G Em)
In your heart, dreams unfurl,
In this cruel, cruel world,
But you, Mrs, stand tall,
Unafraid of the fall.

(Chorus – C G Am F)
Oh, Idealistic Mrs,
Chasing dreams and stolen kisses,
In the twilight, you remain,
Barefoot in the rain.

(Outro – Am G D Am)
Walking down the road,
In the city’s afterglow,
Barefoot in the rain,
Feeling every ounce of pain.

Testimonial:
“I first saw ‘Idealistic Mrs’ at a small pub in Birmingham. I was instantly captivated by their emotive lyrics and unique sound. Beth and Fi are not just musicians, they’re storytellers. Their music feels like a warm hug on a cold day, filled with hope and a touch of melancholy. As someone who’s always been enchanted by the romantic era, their sound resonates deeply with me. ‘Idealistic Mrs’ is my favorite band because they have the ability to transport me to a different era while still addressing the universal human experiences of love, hope, and dreams. Their song ‘Barefoot in the Rain’ is my personal anthem. The band reminds us to dream, to hope, and to embrace our idealism, even if it leaves us ‘Barefoot in the Rain’.”
