Gleaming Error

Backstory:

Gleaming Error is a band born out of the chaos of the 90s Seattle grunge scene, formed by high school buddies Justin Matthews (vocals/guitar), Ralph Warren (bass), and Ben Conner (drums). The trio spent their formative years playing in various garage bands, experimenting with sounds until finding a unique blend that straddled the line between grunge and punk. Their name, ‘Gleaming Error,’ came from a phrase they used jokingly in their early days, representing their philosophy of embracing mistakes and imperfections to create something beautiful and original.

The band got its big break when their self-titled EP caught the attention of a local radio station. Their raw energy and unique sound quickly gained them a cult following, and Gleaming Error was catapulted into the limelight. Despite the ups and downs of fame, the band has remained true to their original ethos – embracing their ‘errors’ and transforming them into gleaming instances of musical brilliance.

“Reflections in the Rain”

Full Song Lyrics:

[Verse 1]
Em G D C
In the city’s heart where shadows dance,
Em G D C
Underneath the neon glow’s trance.
Em G D C
I see your face, on every corner,
Em G D C
In the rain… reflections of a mourner.

[Chorus]
Em G D C
Reflections in the rain,
Em G D C
Echoes of joy, echoes of pain.
Em G D C
Mirror of the soul, mirror so plain,
Em G D C
Just me and my reflections in the rain.

[Verse 2]
Em G D C
In the endless crowd, I stand alone,
Em G D C
On the wet street, your memory is sewn.
Em G D C
I reach out, but grasp just water,
Em G D C
In the rain… I am a solitary loiterer.

[Chorus]
Em G D C
Reflections in the rain,
Em G D C
Past mistakes, the future’s stain.
Em G D C
Through every joy, through every strain,
Em G D C
I see my reflections in the rain.
