Backstory:
Cheerful Uncle began their musical journey in the bustling city of Austin, Texas. The band members, lead vocalist and guitarist Jake, drummer Sam, and bassist Billy, were actually real-life uncles who decided to channel their jovial energy into creating music. Their goal was to share their zest for life and familial warmth with their audience. They initially started playing at local bars and family gatherings, which rapidly gained a cult following. Their ability to connect with the audience with their feel-good music and relatable lyrics were cherished by their listeners. Their charm lay in their ability to make every listener feel like a part of their extended family, hence the name Cheerful Uncle.

Our favorite fan is Molly. Molly has been there since our very first gig in Austin. She once shared, “I stumbled upon their gig at a local bar, and instantly fell in love with their sound. It was fresh yet nostalgic, like a warm hug from an old friend. Their music speaks to me, it’s as if they’ve seen my life and put it into their songs. They’re more than just musicians to me, they’re part of my family, they make me feel at home. Cheerful Uncle is my favorite because they remind me to find joy in the simplest things and to cherish the stories that life gives us.”
