Clumsy Cause was born in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, back in 2010. An unlikely quartet made up of a former accountant, a high school teacher, a tech startup whiz, and a barista, they originally turned to music as a form of stress relief but soon realised their eclectic mix of backgrounds brought a unique sound and perspective to the city’s thriving music scene. United by their love for music and a desire to voice their opinions on societal quirks, the band started creating thoughtful, raw tunes that resonated with many, eventually leading to a record deal in 2015.

Their name, Clumsy Cause, is a nod to their unorthodox journey into the music industry and their candid, sometimes clumsy, approach to addressing societal issues through their music.
