Backstory:
Tense Flower originated in the small town of Waynesville, North Carolina, where the four band members met in high school. The band consists of lead vocalist and bassist, Sam McGuire, twins Jake and Matt Sanders on guitar and drums respectively, and Diana Johnson on the keyboard. The group, which started as a garage band, found their sound experimenting with various genres and instruments. They worked part-time jobs to save up for music equipment and studio time, often collaborating late into the night and on weekends, passionately driven by their shared love of music.

Their big break came when their demo tape landed in the hands of a music producer vacationing in the nearby Asheville. Impressed by their unique blend of sounds, he offered them a record deal. Their journey from a garage band to a nationally recognized group has been a roller coaster ride of determination, passion, and a little bit of luck.
