Backstory:

Barren File was formed in Plano, Texas in 2008 by a group of high school friends – Jack Duncan (lead vocals), Ryan Simmons (guitar), Sam Wilson (bass), and Alex Ford (drums). These four friends initially started their journey by covering popular rock songs in their school talent shows, catching the attention of their peers and teachers alike. Their passion for music led them to drop out of college and pursue their dream of making it big in the music industry. They spent countless hours practicing in their parents’ garages and performing at local venues before they finally caught the attention of a music producer in 2011. Their breakout hit “Destined for Darkness” catapulted them to fame in 2012, and they have been rocking the music scene ever since.
