The band was formed when four art school friends, Kelly, Liza, Jane and Meg, discovered their shared love for music and storytelling. They started jamming together in their dorm rooms, creating a unique sound sparked from their diverse musical inspirations, ranging from classic rock to indie pop. As they crafted songs about the intricacies of life, love, and everything in between, they realized they had something special. “Sketch My Heart”
Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
[C] Sketch my heart, [Am] let it bleed,
[F] Draw the lines where [G] love has seeped
[C] Paint me in your [Am] favorite hue,
[F] Every shade whispers [G] I love you.
(Chorus)
[Am] Under the pencil’s [F] soft caress,
[C] You see my love, [G] no more, no less,
[Am] In every stroke, [F] in every line,
[C] Our hearts entwined, [G] your love, it’s mine.
(Verse 2)
[C] Portrait of a [Am] heart on fire,
[F] Fueled by longing, [G] sweet desire,
[C] Our love story [Am] yet untold,
[F] In soft graphite, [G] bold and hold.
(Repeat Chorus)

Testimonial:
“Female Pencil is more than a band to me, it’s the soundtrack to my life. Their lyrics resonate with my experiences, their music uplifts my spirit. I feel seen by their songs, and that is a precious connection. Seeing them live is like watching artists paint on a canvas, but instead of colors, they use sounds and words. Female Pencil is my favorite because they inspire me to create and to embrace my own uniqueness.” – Daisy
