Cheap Judge

Backstory:
Cheap Judge is a band with humble beginnings, formed in the bustling heart of London’s underground music scene. The band consists of frontman and lead vocalist, Danny ‘Dusk’ Darlington, a former lawyer whose disillusionment with the justice system led to his frankly, unexpected pivot into the world of music. He was soon joined by multi-instrumentalists, Emma ‘Echo’ Edwards, a human rights activist, and Robert ‘Ricochet’ Reynolds, a former drummer for a punk rock band. Their shared passion for justice and music brought them together in 2011, and they’ve been rocking the system ever since.

Cheap Judge is known for their electrifying performances, and their unique style of music that lyrically challenges authority, questions societal norms, and embodies a spirit of rebellion, all the while maintaining their quirky sense of humor and infectious energy.

Genre:
The band’s genre is Rock N’ Roll infused with Punk, Blues, and a hint of Reggae.

Title:
“Courtroom Blues”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
Am Em
In a courtroom of the faceless,
G D
I sat alone, feeling graceless.
Am Em
Once a lawyer, now a singer,
G D
Bearing truth, I’m the bringer.

(Chorus)
Am Em
Singin’ out the courtroom blues,
G D
With a microphone, I accuse.
Am Em
Guilty verdicts, made for cash,
G D
In this system, justice is trash.

(Verse 2)
Am Em
I’ve traded in my gavel,
G D
For a guitar, to unravel.
Am Em
The lies they feed, the people,
G D
From a courthouse, not a steeple.

(Chorus)
Am Em
Singin’ out the courtroom blues,
G D
In Cheap Judge, find the news.
Am Em
We’re the jury, we’re the judge,
G D
In our music, we don’t fudge.

Bands Favorite Fan:
Our favorite fan is a guy named Sam ‘Rocker’ Richards. Sam has been following us since our very first gig at a dingy pub in Soho. Not only has he attended every single show, but he also actively promotes our music online and offline.

Testimonial – Sam Richards:
“There’s something about Cheap Judge that just resonates with me. It’s not just about the music, which is mind-blowing in itself, but also about the message they’re trying to convey. They’re not just a band, they’re a movement. They’re the voice of the unheard; they’re the music of the oppressed. Cheap Judge is my favorite band because they’re not afraid to voice out against the system and do it with fantastic rock music.”
