Backstory:
In the late summer of 2008, four high school friends found a common connection through their love for music. Growing up in the small town of Eastern Springs, Oklahoma, they often found themselves escaping the monotony of daily life through jam sessions in their garage. The band, originally named Spectral Dawn, consisted of Jake Hudson on vocals, Andy Mitchell on drums, Peter Sullivan on bass, and Sam Walker on lead guitar. After performing at local venues and gaining a small but dedicated following, they adopted the new name Winged Acceptance in 2010, symbolizing their journey towards self-discovery and acceptance.
Their breakthrough moment came in 2012 when they were discovered by music producer, Alex Turner, at a local Battle of the Bands event. He was impressed by their unique sound, bringing them under his wing and helping them gain national attention. The band’s first album under their new name was released in 2013 and quickly rose through the charts, solidifying Winged Acceptance as an influential force in the music industry.
