Positive Fear

Backstory:

Hailing from the heart of New England, Positive Fear began as a group of childhood friends who were introduced to music at a young age by their families. The band was formed in the early 2000s by lead vocalist Aaron Hart and drummer Jeremy Leigh, who met in the local school band. They shared a desire to not just play other people’s music, but to create their own. As they got older, they added bassist Michael “Mickey” Simmons and guitarist Andrew “Drew” Malone. From basement jam sessions to local gigs, they slowly built a loyal following with their energetic performances and distinctive sound.

In 2008 they showcased their talent on a national level by winning a battle of the bands competition, catapulting them to popularity. Since then, they have released four studio albums and have played at major music festivals across the country. Despite their success, the band never lost their down-to-earth attitude and close connection to their fans.

Title:

“Ride the High Wave”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1) [Em – G – D – A]
Lost in the echoes, a voice from afar,
Haunted by shadows that dance in the dark,
Tied to the rhythm, we’re searching for sparks,
Chasing the high wave, where the wild things are.

(Chorus) [C – G – D – Em]
Ride the high wave, don’t you let your spirit fray,
The dark can never stay, when our music starts to play,
Ride the high wave, let your fears be swept away,
In the rhythm, let’s sway, ’cause it’s a brand-new day.

(Verse 2) [Em – G – D – A]
Shadows grow longer, but our hearts grow stronger,
Every beat of the drum, draws us closer to the wonder,
Through the high wave, we swim under,
In the storm, we find our thunder.
