Backstory:
Excited Verse is a band that formed in the spring of 2012 in a small beach town on Australia’s Gold Coast. The members, childhood friends Marcus Allen (lead vocals, guitar), Leah Thompson (bass, backing vocals) and Harry Andrews (drums), spent their high school years absorbed in music and dreaming of someday having a band of their own. Together, they began jamming in Marcus’ garage after school, experimenting with different styles and sounds. It was from these sun soaked sessions that the unique sound of Excited Verse was born. Their name, Excited Verse, was inspired by the band’s love for poetry and the power of well-written lyrics.
