Backstory:
Feminine Ownership is a powerful, all-women band formed in Los Angeles in 2015. The group was brought to life when lead vocalist, Anna Christensen, crossed paths with guitarist, Sarah Peterson, and drummer, Emily Jones, at a women’s rights rally. Each with a unique musical background, they found a common purpose to channel their collective talent into creating music that spoke to women’s empowerment, independence, and progressive social change. The band quickly gained traction with their energetic performances and poignant, thought-provoking lyrics.
After touring the local scene for a year, they caught the attention of indie label, Velvet Records. Their subsequent self-titled album, which combined their powerful messages with an irresistible blend of punk rock and pop, put them on the national radar. Today, Feminine Ownership continues to inspire women worldwide, using their platform to advocate for equality and positive change.
