Brilliant Eggnog

Backstory:
Brilliant Eggnog was originally formed in a small, quiet town of Maplewood, Minnesota. The band was born out of a casual Christmas party among friends who spontaneously decided to jam together. The party’s signature drink, a particularly intense eggnog, ended up inspiring both their band name and their musical journey. Initially, they played at local bars and cafes, winning the hearts of locals with their unique sound and charisma. Their breakthrough came when a talent scout from a major record label happened to be in town for a family visit and heard them play. Impressed with their music, he offered them a deal on the spot. This was the beginning of their wild ride to stardom.

“Maplewood Morning”

Full song lyrics (Verse, Chorus):

[Verse 1]
C G Am Em
Maplewood morning, frost on the ground,
F C G
Smoke from the chimneys, spiraling around.
C G Am Em
Small town whispers, secrets we keep,
F C G
Dreams of a love, buried so deep.

[Chorus]
F G C Am
Oh, Maplewood Morning, and Brilliant Eggnog,
G F Em Dm
This is our story, in the heart of the fog.
F G C Am
We’re singing for love, we’re singing for pain,
G F Em Dm
In the frosty morning, under soft falling rain.

[Verse 2]
C G Am Em
Old rusted fences, creak in the wind,
F C G
Tales of our youth, where did they end?
C G Am Em
Cold river flowing, under the bridge,
F C G
Memories are fading, just like an image.

[Chorus]
F G C Am
Oh, Maplewood Morning, and Brilliant Eggnog,
G F Em Dm
This is our song, in the middle of the bog.
F G C Am
We’re singing for hope, we’re singing for fear,
G F Em Dm
In the frosty morning, we hold each other near.

Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is a woman named June Reynolds. June loves Brilliant Eggnog because their music reminds her of her own small-town upbringing. As she explains, “Their songs take me back to my childhood in a way no other music does. They strike a chord that’s both nostalgic and deeply touching. I’ve followed them from their early days in the local bars to their sold out concerts. Brilliant Eggnog’s music and lyrics are real and raw. I’ve cried, laughed, and found comfort in their songs. They’re more than a band to me, they’re like family.”
