Backstory:
Formed in 2015, Lovely Doll is a group of four musicians who met at a local coffee shop’s open mic night in Seattle, Washington. Each member was performing solo at the time, but after a spontaneous jam session, they realized their shared musical synergy was too exceptional to ignore. The lead singer, Dawn, with her soulful voice and magnetic charisma, was a former choir girl with a passion for storytelling through music. Jason, the guitarist, was a garage band rock star turned folk music enthusiast. Lyric, the bassist, was a classically trained musician with an affinity for jazz, and Luna, the drummer, was a street performer who added a unique blend of rhythm and energy to the mix. Together, they decided to form Lovely Doll, a band that encompasses their shared love for authentic, heartfelt music.

Band’s Favorite Fan:
The band’s favorite fan is Jenna Thompson, a high school teacher from Portland. Jenna first discovered Lovely Doll at a music festival in 2016 and has been an avid fan ever since. She has attended every show in the Pacific Northwest and even traveled to California to see them perform live. Jenna loves Lovely Doll because their music resonates with her on a personal level. According to her, “Their songs are like a mirror to my soul, reflecting my deepest emotions and thoughts. I feel seen and understood when I listen to their music. It’s as if they’re singing my life story. No other band has had such a profound impact on me.” She finds solace in Lovely Doll’s heartfelt lyrics and soulful melodies.
