Wet Lion

Backstory:
Born from the creative minds of three college roommates, Wet Lion exploded onto the alternative indie music scene in 2013. Comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Jeremy “Beast” Davis, bassist Stephen “Roar” Robertson, and drummer Mark “Wildcat” Willis, Wet Lion was initially conceived in the dormitory halls of Emporia State University in Kansas. The trio started jamming together, performing at house parties and small local venues. Their popularity grew organically as they resonated with the university crowd, their energetic performances and unique sound being unlike anything the local scene had to offer. A few years later, they were picked up by an indie music label and introduced to a national audience, where their popularity exploded.

Song Title: “Rain Soaked Summer”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1: Am, C, G, D)

Am C
Walking on the boulevard,
G D
Underneath the city stars,
Am C
I feel the humid air,
G D
Smell the rain, your fragrance there.

(Chorus: F, C, G)

F C
Rain soaked summer, how you linger,
G F
In my heart, on my fingertips,
C G
Memories of you, like a whisper,
F C G
They play on, in endless skips.

(Verse 2: Am, C, G, D)

Am C
Caught in the downpour,
G D
Your laughter, I adore,
Am C
Underneath the neon light,
G D
We danced, in the thunderous night.

(Chorus: F, C, G)

F C
Rain soaked summer, how you linger,
G F
In my heart, on my fingertips,
C G
Memories of you, like a whisper,
F C G
They play on, in endless skips.

(Outro: Am, C, G, D)

Am C
As the rain kissed us goodnight,
G D
Promised to remember, the wet lion’s might,
Am C
Could never forget, your eyes, so bright,
G D
In that rain soaked summer, our love took flight.

Testimonial: “Wet Lion is more than just my favorite band, they’re my lifeline. Their songs are eerily relatable, whether it’s navigating the complexities of relationships or the joys and challenges of being young and figuring life out. ‘Rain Soaked Summer’ was the song I listened to non-stop after my first heartbreak, and it helped me more than any advice from friends or family ever could. Wet Lion doesn’t just make music, they create a companion for your emotions and experiences, and that’s why I’ll always be their number one fan.”
