Backstory:
Belated Target was formed from the ashes of several local indie bands in the bustling music scene of Austin, Texas in 2012. The band members, lead vocalist and guitarist Carter Thomas, bassist Josie Ramirez, drummer Aiden Brooks, and keyboardist Julianne Sullivan met at various open-mic events and music festivals. Over shared beers and music influences ranging from rock to folk to blues, they found common ground and decided to form a band. Having experienced their share of late starts and missed opportunities in their previous ventures, they named their group ‘Belated Target’, a reminder of the challenges that had shaped them.

Genre:
The band’s unique blend of indie rock with elements of folk and blues has been coined as ‘Folk-Blues-Indie Rock’.
