Backstory:
Fatal Bit was born in the basement of an abandoned Silicon Valley startup in 2012, where four disillusioned techies turned their frustration with the digital world into the raw material for a new sound. Lead guitarist and vocalist, Jason “Bit” Rodriguez, bassist Ryan “Byte” O’Reilly, keyboardist Miranda “Kernel” Wang, and drummer Zach “Node” Taylor found common ground in both their love for music and a shared disillusionment with the tech sector. Their shared experiences of burnout, existential dread and a longing for something more became the catalyst for their unique sound.
The band started performing at local bars and soon gained a reputation for their intense live shows, which combined high-energy performances with a compelling stage presence. After a few years of gigging around the Bay Area, they caught the attention of indie label “Binary Beats”, who signed them in 2015. Since then, Fatal Bit has released two albums and toured extensively, gaining a dedicated following worldwide.

Verse 1: [Em, G, D, A]
(Em) In the city of the future, (G) lost in silicon dreams

(D) We’re dancing with the (A) ghosts in the machine
(Repeat Chorus)

Testimonial:
“I’ve been a fan of Fatal Bit since their early days playing at my local bar, and their music resonates with me on so many levels. I work in tech, and their lyrics speak to the ambivalent feelings I have about the industry. Their music is raw, real, and refreshingly honest. It’s not just about the hardships of life in the digital age—it’s also about the strange beauty of it. I feel seen and understood when I listen to their songs. That’s why Fatal Bit is, and will always be, my favorite band.”
