Backstory:
Composed Ref was formed in the bustling city of New York during the summer of 2012. The band’s three members, frontman Liam ‘Lizard’ Sullivan, bassist Hannah ‘Pulse’ Carter and drummer ‘Beat’ Andrew Thompson, were all part of the vibrant underground music scene of the city, each playing in different bands before their paths crossed at a local music festival. They found a shared interest in breaking the mold of typical music genres and creating something that was uniquely their own. With Lizard’s haunting vocals, Pulse’s pulsating bass lines and Beat’s rhythmic attack, Composed Ref was born.
Despite their diverse musical backgrounds, they shared a common goal: to create music that resonated with people on a personal level while challenging mainstream music norms. Their music quickly garnered attention, with fans praising their unique sound and authenticity.
