Backstory:
Even Sack was birthed in a small garage in the heart of Austin, Texas, where four childhood friends came together with a shared love for music and a dream to disrupt the music scene. Jake Matthews, the band’s lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist, had been scribbling lyrics in his journal since he was just 10. His neighbor and best friend, Sam Harper, mastered the drums on an old kit he found at a garage sale. Danny Washington, the charismatic lead guitarist, was a local legend with his unique guitar solos. Lastly, Ben Peterson, the cool and calm bassist, held the band together with his steady rhythms.
In 2009, they started performing in local gigs, quickly gathering a following with their raw energy and powerful lyrics. Their breakthrough moment came when they were spotted at the SXSW festival by a talent scout, who offered them a record deal. Since then, they’ve released three albums, each one more successful than the last. Their popularity has transcended borders, and they’ve toured around the world, mesmerizing audiences with their distinct sound.
