Backstory:
Tired Approval, formed in the small town of Ashwood, Oregon, were initially just a group of high school friends sharing a common passion for music. The band comprised of lead vocalist and guitarist Martin Atkins, bass guitarist Phil Dawson, drummer Andy Harper, and keyboardist Sarah Ross. Their shared love for storytelling through lyrics and their minimalistic yet impactful sound quickly gained them local popularity, eventually leading them to national recognition. Their journey, however, was not all smooth sailing. The initial phase of their career was marked by numerous rejections from record labels, hence the name ‘Tired Approval’, signifying their persistence in the face of disapproval and their unending quest for acceptance in the music industry.
