Backstory:

These Library is a group of four talented musicians who were brought together by their shared love for music and literature. The band formed in the halls of the Chicago Public Library, where they were all employed. They spent their lunch breaks in the basement, surrounded by the rhythm of pages turning and the melody of whispered words. The basement soon turned into a rehearsal room where they developed their unique sound, tuning their instruments to the echo of stories told and untold.

The band members – Steve on guitar, Rachel on Bass, Tim on drums, and lead vocalist and songwriter, Katie – quickly discovered that their connection went beyond their shared workplace. Their connection was a deep understanding and love for music and the stories it can tell. After rehearsing for months in the basement of the library, they finally decided to take their music outside the library walls. They named their band ‘These Library,’ as a tribute to the place where it all started.
