Backstory: Founded in the heart of Brooklyn, New York, in 2008, Oddball Soup rose out of an unlikely collaboration between four quirky, vibrant musicians, each with their own unique musical influences and talents. The band comprising of lead vocalist and bassist Sam ‘Squid’ Quinlan, guitarist and keys player Oliver ‘Octave’ Larkin, drummer and percussionist Jade ‘Jingle’ Riley, and trumpeter & background vocalist Fred ‘Funky’ Gibson. Originally, the bandmates crossed paths when they all separately answered a classified ad for a smoothie maker at local health food store. They got along famously, discovering they shared a love for music and mango smoothies. This led to them creating Oddball Soup, a fusion of their individuality and a reflection of their collective eccentricities.
