Eminent Air

Backstory:

Eminent Air was formed in a small coastal town in Oregon in 2010, when long-time friends and aspiring musicians, Johnny Hall (lead vocals, guitar), Bobby Lee (drums) and Sara Griffin (bass, backup vocals), found themselves repeatedly crossing paths in local music venues. Sharing a similar taste in music and a burning passion to create, the trio decided to pool their talents and thus, Eminent Air was born. Overcoming the initial hurdles of creating a unique sound, they honed their skills and developed a distinctive fusion of indie rock and folk music, earning them a dedicated local following. They’re known for their intriguing lyrical themes, soulful melodies, and most importantly, the raw, emotional energy they deliver in their live performances.

Title:

“Waves Against the Shore”

Full Song Lyrics:

(Verse 1)
[G] Standing here, [D] by the sea shore,
[Em] Dreaming of, [C] what’s in store,
[G] Your love is like, [D] the ocean wide,
[Em] I’m just a pebble, [C] in the tide.

(Chorus)
[G] Waves against the [D] shore,
[Em] Calling out for [C] more,
[G] Ebb and flow, [D] love is never sure,
[Em] Just like waves against the [C] shore.

(Verse 2)
[G] Moonlit night, [D] shadows dance,
[Em] In your eyes, [C] I’m in a trance,
[G] Our hearts beat, [D] in perfect time,
[Em] Like a sweet, [C] silent rhyme.

(Chorus)
[G] Waves against the [D] shore,
[Em] Calling out for [C] more,
[G] Ebb and flow, [D] love is never sure,
[Em] Just like waves against the [C] shore.

(Outro)
[G] We crash, we break, [D] we rise again,
[Em] Love’s a journey, [C] not a destination,
[G] Through every storm, [D] and gentle pour,
[Em] We’re just waves against the [C] shore.
