Untried Peasant

Backstory:
Untried Peasant is a group of four childhood friends from the small Cornish town of Tintagel, England. Rosemary – lead vocals, Ivan – drums, John – lead guitar, and Tim – bass, formed the band in 2014 with a shared love of music and storytelling. They named their band after a phrase they found scribbled in an old book at their town’s library, interpreting it as a symbol for untapped potential and the raw, real lives of everyday people.

Starting in small pubs and with a modest following at first, Untried Peasant slowly but surely started gaining popularity, thanks to their unique sound, captivating lyrics, and the undeniable chemistry between the band members. Despite the fame, they remain deeply rooted in their small-town origins, often writing songs about the beauty and struggles of rural life.

Genre:
Untried Peasant is best known for their Indie Folk sound, blending traditional folk music with modern elements of indie rock and pop.

“Fields of Stone and Time”

Full Song Lyrics:
(Verse 1)
Am C
She dances in the fields of stone and time,
G D
Her soul as old as the hills, yet in its prime.
Am C
Under the ancient trees, where secrets lie,
G D
She weaves tales of love, under the open sky.

(Chorus)
Am C G D
In the fields of stone and time, we find what’s truly ours,
Am C G D
In the whispers of the wind, under the fading stars.

(Verse 2)
Am C
Through the seasons’ change, her spirit roams,
G D
In the heart of the land that she calls home.
Am C
Like the river’s flow, constant yet ever new,
G D
Her song is a story, raw and true.

(Chorus)
Am C G D
In the fields of stone and time, we understand our worth,
Am C G D
In the rhythm of the earth, we find our place of birth.
