Backstory:

Merry Price is an indie-folk band that originated in the vibrant city of Manchester, UK, in 2009. The four-piece ensemble is composed of childhood friends: lead vocalist and guitarist Emily Price, bassist Jake Turner, drummer Harry Collins, and violinist Olivia Johnson. They were named after Emily’s grandmother, Merrilyn Price, who was a former folk singer in the 1960s. Merrilyn, or “Merry” as she was fondly called, was the one who instilled her love for music to Emily, and as a tribute, they decided to name the band after her.

Merry Price first made a name for themselves by performing at local pubs and small music festivals around Manchester. Their captivating harmonies and authentic storytelling through their songs quickly caught the attention of both audiences and music industry professionals. They were signed by an indie label in 2012 and have since released three studio albums, touring extensively around Europe and North America.
